Meet the Meadows Family Chiropractic Team

Meet April Brock
April Brock - Chiropractic Financial Coordinator

“I was first introduced to chiropractic care thru my involvement with my previous career in training hunter/jumper equine athletes. The treatment they received was remarkable and kept them fit and comfortable for competition. When my son was born, I retired from training and looked for a new career, chiropractic was the perfect choice!”

“My professional background is eclectic with a history in hospital, clinical, medical billing service, road-racing organization and training hunters and jumper equine athletes. I love my current profession, I love being a part of a cause, not just a job!”

Hobbies & Activities: Dirt biking, road-racing, horse-back riding, gardening, spending time with my son and assisting my fiancé with his sport bike suspension and tire business.

Meet Kelly Hambidge
Kelly Hambidge - Chiropractic Assistant

I initially got to know Drs. Leah and Jeremy Meadows as a patient, when I was 16 years old, experiencing shin splints and tingling in my legs. Within a short time my symptoms disappeared but I continued as a patient for the next three years. In 2005 I became part of the team at Meadows Family Chiropractic.

I graduated in 2006 from the Art Institute of Seattle and in my time not spent at the office, I am working on building my business-on-the-side as a Graphic Designer.

Hobbies & Activities: I enjoy riding and hanging out with my two horses, Penny and Rocky; or working on my Photography, Drawing, and Painting skills.

Marisa Erskine - Office Coordinator

The team at Meadows Family Chiropractic welcomed me in 2008. I had heard of the practice through my previous chiropractor who spoke very highly of the doctors and I am excited about being part of the team. I am a northwest native but did spend time in high school exploring my roots while living in southern Italy. My background is in policy work with Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. Most recently I was working as a financial advisor, but now focus my time on financial education.

Hobbies & Activities: I am an avid golfer who also loves the mountains, skiing in winter; hiking and backpacking in summer. You’ll often find me at the dog park with my three labs or out kayaking…somewhere!

Cami Elsenbast-Chiropractic Assistant

Meadow’s brought me on board their team in 2008. I have worked in hospitality for years, helping manage a few different northwest spas, but I have never been part of such a fulfilling occupation until now. Meadow’s has enlightened me with the benefits of chiropractic care and now I don’t know how I ever managed without it.

Currently I am majoring in business at Central Washington University, Lynnwood, with plans to graduate summer of 2009.

Hobbies & Activities: I have played golf competitively since I was 12 years old, competing in the WJGA and WESCO for high school. I enjoy spending time with my two dogs, the outdoors, boating, hiking, yoga, and an occasional venture to somewhere warm and tropical.

Dr. Leah Asks some important questions of interest to Kirkland residents - Chiropractor Kirkland Dr. Leah Asks...

What is the purpose of pain?
Pain prompts many Kirkland folks to begin chiropractic care. But pain isn't the problem! Pain is just how your body alerts you that a limit has been reached (or exceeded), that something isn't working right and that some type of change is needed. As a chiropractor, my job is finding the underlying cause and recommending the changes needed to bring your body back into balance.
Are chiropractors just concerned with the spine?
Our interest in the spine is because it covers the major communications conduit between your brain and your body. As a Kirkland chiropractor my job is to locate areas (usually along the spine) that interfere with proper nerve communications to and from your brain. Chiropractic adjustments help restore nervous system integrity. In this way, chiropractic care can affect the function of your entire body.
